Good conservation work is generally informed by good investigation work, and Skillingtons provide both to top and tail your project. We act as consultants carrying out condition surveys and conservation briefs, and for church work we are used to following ChurchCare guidelines. We carry out materials analysis, either in-house or coordinating specialist providers.
Sometimes opening-up works are required to inform surveys, and we are happy to do this and make good again if required.
Sadly, disaster recovery is sometimes necessary, but is an invaluable service that we can provide. Working at short notice if needed we have helped with emergency conservation treatments and with recovery of objects from fire and flood damaged houses and churches.
